Birds seen in IITK: 2025-2026 (116 species)

With the landscape of IIT Kanpur evolving at a drastic pace, there seems to be a necessity to document the local biodiversity changes annually. The record below is of different bird species spotted on campus in the academic year 2025-2026. All Photos were taken on campus by IITK bird lovers, a majority of which were taken during the annual campus bird count conducted in Feb. 2026 (see end of page for further details).
